In response to an RFP from the City of Glendale, CA, RADAR developed a comprehensive vision for the renovation of this much-beloved community library which expanded on its goal to be a "Grand Central Station" of information and access. Our design proposed to open up visual connections between the main atrium space, the Children's Library and Teen Study Areas, while controlling for acoustics. In this way diverse users and groups can coexist and enjoy the libary, and the evolution of its uses, holistically and simultaneously.
